OWNER REQUIREMENTS

To keep the guarantee active, owners must:

  • Have their property managed by MRE
  • Approve recommended works within advised timeframes
  • Fund required rectification
  • Allow trade access
  • Notify MRE of independent works so compliance can be reassessed
  • If works are declined or delayed, the guarantee does not apply to those items.

 

SCOPE OF COVER

The guarantee applies only where MRE has confirmed and recorded compliance.

It does not cover:

  • Owner decisions not to proceed with recommended works
  • Issues arising after tenancy commencement that could not be identified
  • Standards outside Victorian minimum requirements

 

MRE will of course continue to represent you and work to achieve optimal outcomes in any such instances, as detailed in our valid Managing Authority.
